Full Day Tribus

Enjoy the jungle with excursions and admire the beautiful landscapes. We'll head to the port of Nanay and visit the largest bridge in Peru, which crosses the Nanay River. Admire the changing waters as you navigate the three rivers: the Amazon, Momón, and Nanay. We'll visit a temporary animal sanctuary to see the anaconda, sloth, and a variety of other animals and monkeys. Lunch can be enjoyed on board or at a floating restaurant, where you can experience the diverse cuisine of the Peruvian jungle.

Los Boras

Los Yaguas
We're going to meet the Yagua tribe of the Momón River. They welcome us to their maloca (longhouse) with natural face paint as a souvenir of our visit. They show us their crafts, share their dances, and explain the dialect they speak in their community. They also tell us how they came to live in this part of the rainforest. We'll even try our hand at blowgun hunting for a souvenir photo. This is an unforgettable experience connecting with native peoples in the rainforest, as we connect with these beloved children of the jungle.
Just like the Yagua people, we will also visit the Bora tribe. They too await us happily and welcome us with natural face paint, different in color and style than the Yagua. They also have different types of dances, clothing, and dialect. The group leader is always the host, explaining how they came to live in this part of the Peruvian jungle. These activities are ideal for those who like to take home souvenirs from visiting native ethnic groups, and especially if you want to buy handicrafts. They are all artisans, and the prices are reasonable compared to the city.
We're going to visit an insectarium to see the KAMBO frog, scorpions, tarantulas, stick insects, and others on a short botanical walk.
